Regents appoint Emporia State presidential search committee members, approve committee charge

(Topeka, Kan.) – Today the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) approved the membership of the Emporia State University (ESU) presidential search committee. The Regents charged the committee with leading the search for the next ESU president and identifying finalists for the Board’s consideration.

Committee representatives include ESU students, faculty, staff and alumni, along with business and community leaders from Emporia.

“The Board is excited to have an excellent search committee representing the voices of students, faculty, staff, alumni, businesses and the Emporia community,” said KBOR Chair Blake Benson. “The Regents are thankful that the committee members have agreed to lend their time, talents and passion for Emporia State to the presidential search process. We look forward to receiving a great group of finalists for the next president of Emporia State.”

Last month Chair Benson announced that Jim Kessler would serve as chair of the search committee.
